Prerequisites:

  • A wallet ( or ) with a small amount of ATOM to cover gas fees

  • Don’t have ATOM? You can get some by clicking the "buy" button in Leap or Keplr or from a centralized exchange such as or

Steps

  1. Select a square image (at least 250x250 pixels and no greater than 1024x1024 pixels) to upload for your token logo (max file size is 550kb)

  2. Give your token a name and ticker. For example, "Cosmos Hub" is the name of a token, and it has the ticker "ATOM."

  3. Set a maximum supply. This is the total number of tokens that can be minted. For example, bitcoin has a maximum supply of 21,000,000 BTC.

  4. Set the maximum number of tokens that can be minted in a single transaction. This number must be smaller than the maximum supply. For example, if your maximum supply is 1,000, you can set a mint limit of 1, 10, 25, etc.

  5. Optionally, choose a launch date and time.

  6. Click "create token" and approve the transaction in your wallet.

View or transfer your CFT-20s

  1. To transfer your tokens, click on an individual token, then click the "send" button.

  2. Enter the address where you'd like to send your tokens and execute the transaction.

That’s it! Your token has been created and is ready to be minted by anyone who wants some of your token (including you!). Each token that gets created gets its own minting page on Asteroidprotocol.io to make the minting process easier. After you mint some of your own tokens, you’ll be able to view or transfer them from the in the app. If you want to list some of your for sale, you can do that in the .

To view your tokens, visit and click on the portfolio tab.

You can also to enable IBC compatibility. Once bridged, your tokens can be used to:

Create a and have your tokens automatically available on swap aggregators like IBC.fun

Offer rewards for LPs (via Astroport's ). For example, if you create a token called SAMPLE, you could mint some to give away to other LPs in a SAMPLE pool. See a video showing how it works .
